![]() And then when I got to the counter didn't even get an apology. I went into the lobby to purchase a bundle of fire wood and there was 2 employees behind the counter.both of which were to busy chatting with the person in front of me to be concerned with the fact I was holding a 25lb bundle of wood for 15 minutes aswell as the 5 or so other people that were behind me. There was trash all over the camp ground. The "hot" water was look warm at best and took a good 5 minutes of running just to get up to temperature. Which brings me to the bathrooms.the bathrooms were very dirty and trash everywhere, locks on stalls broken, no "privacy" in showers.just cheap curtains with 2" gaps all the way around for any nosy person or curious kid to peak in while you are showering. The pool was disgusting especially when 400lb people decided to use it to bath in because they cant fit in the shower stalls. They say they have a "quite time" yet there were people being loud next to their fires all night and kids on the playground until 3 AM yelling and shining flashlights in windows. The cabin was infested with spiders that bit my family through out the entire night and left swelling for 5 days. They didn't clean the cabin before we settled in and the previous people that stayed left fruit cups and other trash inside.along with the mid 90 degree heat that day made for a real "pleasant" welcome!. Our cabins door lock was broke, was missing a fire pit, had a grill on our lot that had to be shared with anyone on the camp ground that chose to use it so we had random strangers hanging out in front of our cabin the whole time. Also the staff is not good at answering phones or prompt with returning phone calls. First let me say that this camp ground is RIGHT next to the highway, all you hear is semi's zipping by all night long. But even at the price we paid I still feel like we got ripped off!. The only saving grace to this story is that we got a groupon for around $24 a night, I feel bad for those that pay full price for a nights stay at nearly $80!. We took a family vacation to Cedar point and stayed at Camp Sandusky for 2 nights. They say they have a "quite time" yet there were people being loud next to their fires all night and kids on the playground until 3 AM yelling and shining flashlights in. ![]() ![]()
